Very peaceful shot, Bill. Is that the Eiger? I'm actually heading to Mürren over the weekend... can't wait!

@Jack, yes the mountain in the distant is the Eiger.
So I'm looking forward to see your images from this area

Beautiful Bill - What strikes me is the great clarity. How do you like the 16-35 lens? I've read some really nice things about it.

@Bill: I bought the 16-35 lens a year ago and so far i am really happy with it. Despite that the outer shell is plastic the quality is superb. At 16mm the lens suffers a bit from distortion....this distortion is quiet obvious.Chromatic aberrations are practically a non-issue for this lens. The lens is significantly sharper on digital than any other of the older lenses I've had. I've already shot with this lens in tough weather and i must say it's well protected against dust and moisture.

That is just beautiful Bill. I love that area of Europe although it has been several years since visiting. Your light was fantastic and the pond caught the reflections beautifully.

My Great grandmother was a Moser from the Bern area. I wonder if we are related?

This is beautiful, Bill. The light and color are really nice. Great reflection, and as Bill mentioned the clarity is wonderful. I like your comp here too. The large version is even better. Nice work Bill.

Pretty scene Bill with wonderful colors. The right half of the reflection looks a tad bright. Also, you can maybe try to pull a bit more detail out of the shadows. Small suggestions for a lovely shot.

Great image. I would suggest cropping out the trees in the right edge of the frame - the trees have dark shadows, and the horizon there is bright, so the overall contrast is high and distracts from the main frame. also, this is where the pond has some weeds that are not as pleasing to look at. I would also crop off a bit from the bottom to get rid of that moss in the bottom center.

One more thing: the reflection is brighter than the subject, so the ND grad was too powerful. This is easy to fix with some burning of the reflections.

This is a real pretty scene. I like the warm light on the peaks and the reflection in the lake. Too bad there wasn't more going on in the sky but you take what you can get! Very tranquil. Wish I was there! :toast:

The light here is exquisite, as are the reflections. I do wish the sky had some clouds to add interest, but that's nature for you.

Beautiful image. I like the idea of cropping a bit off the left. The light and reflections are wonderful. Nicely done

If I remember correctly, I definitely prefer this one over the last one. The mountains really stand out here, and I love the sparse grove of trees in the foreground.

Beautiful light and reflection, if it were mine I might darken the reflection slightly.

Beautiful scene with some nice light! The reflection seems a tad bright and I would crop a bit of the sky. Nice moon, did you consider enlarging it? :toast:

for such a little pond, you have an amazing reflection! I, too, would crop the trees on the right and keep the focus on the mountains. Wish I were there. Looks so serene.

Dean, I must be blinder than I thought/! I don't see a moon....what moon?

Beautiful shot . . . I spent three days in this area back in 1996 and the mountains were shrouded in clouds the entire time. I wasn't much into photography then, but it was still disappointing. I like virtually everything I see here and would probably not crop the trees on the RHS, but it may be worth your time to darken the reflection just a bit along the lines of what others have suggested.

Nice. Looking at the larger version is really nice. Color in the grass and sky are well saturated. The reflection is excellent. The two farther mountains are a bit hazy. Cropping a bit off the bottom to eliminate the patch of grass eliminates a distraction without taking anything from the image.

Lovely landscape and what a beautiful time to be there.

Excellent, well-ballance composition of a lovely scene. The only thing that I might suggest changing is the relative brightness of the reflection. I like the way the very slight haze adds to the feeling of distance in the mountains.
