A Promise of Gold

Part of a nature trail in Banff NP. Pseudo HDR of 3 copies of an image originally shot 1/10 @ f/22. Copies were ev +2, 0, -2 and processed in Photomatix Pro using the tone compressor option. Imported into PSCS4 where I added adjustment layers for saturation and vibrance. I flattened the result and experimented with some paint filters, but was unhappy with the results. Finally, I made a duplicate layer and oversharpened it, which gave the trees a look I was happy with. I added a mask to that layer and painted back the boardwalk from the bottom layer.
