Thought I'd post a b & w version of my previous post for some feedback on the conversion. I cleaned up the dust from the original post and applied a high contrast green filter in Nik SEP.

3 exposure blend in LR/Enfuse (1/200, 1/60, 1/20 @ f/22); 16mm; ISO 100; 16-35 f/2.8L; tripod, CP. Canon EOS 5DMk2.

Craig, I like the B&W. I think the green filter lightened the vegetation too much so that the foreground doesn't separate as well as it does in the color version. You might consider a red, yellow or orange filter. Any of these will darken the blue sky and shadows lit by the sky. This might give better definition in the foreground. I love that sky!

I would second Preston's comment. The vegetation is a bit light, but the image is very well done and has a killer sky. I like it even better in B&W.

Craig,

Have to echo Preston and Harley, it's a great sky but the land and yuccas need more definition a contrast boost?

Great view of the Granites in the preserve Craig! (that's a guess) They had a great bloom yucca bloom out there last year, it's too early for this but it's coming we hope! Good choice in using the green filter it keeps much of the noise out of the scene. I'd maybe keep the adjustments mild and give some of the grey clouds a little more punch.
