Sandy:
The DOF is rather shallow for F22 unless this is super close-up. The overall softness works well though but I wish the yellow dots were a little sharper.

Yes, super close-up! only a few inches.

Even though it's shot @ f/22, I'm glad the dof is limited at this close range, because I love the overall softness of the shot. :toast:

Love the wonderful soft folds of the pedals they don't take away from the center. Beautiful work Sandy!

This works very well for me as posted Sandy. I feel like I'm about to get smashed in a blue avalanche. (I like that - smile) Beautiful image for my tastes.

Well, I'm against the tide on this one, my friend. Usually soft and closeup really works for me and I'm kinda stumped as to why I not enthralled with this...
Okay, I think it's because I don't get a sense of flow in the composition. Each little section of the flower is its own little realm. And the horizontal petal line across the center just chops the image "clean in two." So, for me, it doesn't "come together" very well. I do like the pale blue and white and the presentation is pretty classy.

Beautiful softness and soft Spring colors, Sandy. I would be tempted to obliterate the brown parallel lines, even though I'm sure they're part of the flower. That way they won't distract from the subject.

Cheers,

Carol

Sandy, if I were a bee I would soon land on this runway, attracted by the nice stamens. An original look at this always different model.
What do you think getting a bit closer, cutting something right and up? I love the image.
Take care.
