From a couple years ago. I was looking for images to print out and hang in the house and this struck me as a good candidate.

Nikon D60 55-200mm VR @ 165mm HH
f/8
1/1000s
ISO 400
Full Frame

Selected everything but the flower and ran a gaussian blur, on another layer I switched it to "hard light" and dropped the opacity to about 60% and flattened it. Did some minor cloning as well. Flower was sharpened using smart sharpen. All in CS5 on 27" iMac

perfect whites and nice comp!
In this case, I think the centering works fine, since the BG pads add interest.
Great ! I'd hang it if it were mine..

Luke:
Nice exposure on the white and good comp. The image is still a little soft and I would sharpen it more before printing.

The flower is beautiful. The darek spots on the pad in BG draw my eye. You may consider cloneing over them. Overall a nice image.

I'm with Dan. I would clone out the spots on the pad and then print and hang. :toast:

Luke,

My only nit are the spots already mentioned. Great exposure in the whites in this. Best thing about photography is getting to hang your own images. Sort of like bringing things in from shop class all over again.

I love it Luke, this is for sure a wall hanger in my opinion.

Looks great. I especially like how the flower is sharp while the pads are soft.

Luke: One of your best Flora shots IMO. Excellent whites and DOF management. Terrific image.>=))>
