I seldom venture into this gallery, but recently started playing around with Topaz ( to actually assist with my painting endeavors) and this was one of my first efforts that I sort of thought could stand on its own and not just be a painting aid. Several times through adjust and simplify filters in Topaz plus color work and masks in PS.

This is very good for a painterly effect from a photograph. After seeing some portraits in Shutterbug by a featured artist that he adjusted from photo to a oil-paint appearance...I have been impressed. In fact I think the brush stroke effect...when done with skill produces a higher quality or more generally appealing result than the straight up photo.

Beautiful colors and nice blending. Maybe could use a little more contrast and highlights, better definition or deeper tones.

Very beautiful. Serene and colorful, this simple composition seems especially suited for the treatment you have used. Well done.

This is great. The colors are terrific and the combination of boats and the plants at the bottom of the frame work very well.

Congratulations, Bob, this is an exquisite image. You have wonderful skill in making the image look "painterly" without having to overprocess and oversaturate. This should be hung in a gallery for all to see.

Very well done, Bob. The composition is spot on and the colors in the sky and the reflection work well. I think it could be stronger if some clarity/brightness/contrast could be added to the foreground.

Beautiful scene - love the color pallette and the "dreamy" water.
Congrats on a fine EP!
