A male Pheasant is posing in the late evening light on the isle of Texel, the Netherlands. I like this image for a couple of reasons. One the light is really sweet. The second is that this is the type of habitat that I have seen hundreds of pheasants in my life, so the grass in front of the bird just adds to the feeling of being there.

I love this as presented. Wonderful light and color. The grasses are a strong part of the image and of my enjoyment.

I love the light you caught. I like the pheasant hiding in the grass, which is certainly their normal behavior around here. I also liked the green background against the golden grass.

Beautiful environment you have captured, Jorne. This is definitely how I see most Pheasants, hiding in the tall grass. Very nice image.

The warm, rich colours compliment the subject perfectly. I love the pose and the way the head seems almost framed by those pieces of grass and the way they're leaning in the same direction as the subject looking into. Very, very nice Jorne :^)

Beautiful evening light falling on the bird, but on the grasses as well. An ethereal glow to the entire image makes this one a winner.

A really great habitat shot of this pheasant Jorne. Great light and good earth tones all around. A very nice image.
