I used various Nik Filters to separate the pine from the ivy. I wanted the ivy to be main stage.

A very interesting photo. You succeeded in your efforts of separation Making the pine look more brightly illuminated than the ivy. The photo looks almost Infra Red.

Very nice, David. I like the b/w conversion and the juxtaposition of the ivy. One small nit—that ain't pine. Mu guess is Eastern Hemlock.

Fine image of great graphic quality, David. I like the conversion a lot ( though I must admit the ` pine ' seems the focus rather than the ivy, though that matters not a jot ).

The conversion is wonderful and I really like how it reduces this to it's great lines and tones. :toast:

Beautiful conversion David. In particular a really fine job of keeping the interest in the bg while supporting the main subject. Love the lines.

Interesting effect David. This presentation is worthy of a long hard look.

David:
You have succeeded in keeping the interest in the 'pines' at the same time keeping the interest in the ivy low key.
