Foggy Beach

by Bill Chambers

Went out for sunrise this morning into heavy fog. It was a nice morning to sit and listen to the waves come ashore. Even the birds weren't moving, and I thought the slight water movement kind of caught the mood of the morning. I liked the rather minimal aspect of this. Converted to B&W and lightly selenium toned in Silver Efex Pro.

Better viewed LARGE.

Really lovely Bill, for me the subtle water movement in the FG makes it even more ethereal. Very nice!

It reminds me of a scene from an old B&W movie--nice stuff, Bill!

Bill, your image works by its plainness, I especially like how you focus on the shell in the foreground. Delightful b&w conversion.

Its a moody shot for sure Bill. The fg feels a little bright to me. Very original and unique take.

I feel like an absolute addict, Bill. Everything you photograph, I like. How you take light like this and crate a photo this good is totally beyond me.

This sure does have a minimalist feel to it. The wave action makes me feel like I am there.

There's something soothing and somber about a fog shrouded walk on the beach and this captures it nicely, Bill. I can almost hear the gentle lapping of the waves.
