Ok, so this is like the 4th photo I've posted from this spot, only because this is right around the corner from my house and I can reach it quick if the weather looks like it will co-operate. I'm not sold on the comp and by the time I found something better the light was gone. How does the processing look on this?

Comp looks good to me and I love the reflected color on the sand. Very nice clarity. My only nit is the beach is a bit too dark IMO.

I think the shot is beautiful, especially the reflection of the clouds on the water. I think I would have cropped it across the botom to take out most of the dark sand.

Man, you live on a great "corner"! My first impression of this was that it is an excellent exposure of a scene that includes the Sun. Then -- trying to be cridical (our job here, I suppose) -- I did notice that I would expect to see more detail in the LRC with that sun shining on it. Having said that, the exposure and processing of the bright reflcections is perfect, just like the upper 3/4 of the image. Comp looks fine to me, although it would also look good with a slight crop off the rigth side.

Dean,

I love the look of this image. Wonderful processing - it looks and feels like film.I agree with Bill about the darkness in the foreground, it doesn't bother me at all for web presentation. However, print is a different story....Love the reflection, colors, and light.

The splash of color in the foreground is a strong focal point. Great to have a spot like this that you get to know.

You live on a nice corner Dean! This is a beautiful image. I really like the light and color. The light on the sand is awesome. I do think it would be nice if the beach (lrc) was a bit brighter. Wonderful picture!

What a great spot to have so close to your home! I love the mood here and that splash of warm light on the FG sand is sublime, Dean. My only suggestion; and this is just a personal preference; would be to lighten the sand just a bit in the LRC.

I like the composition just fine and it's a very interesting and well-captured scene. As far as the processing, the overall scene is pretty dark but it feels relatively natural. I guess we're becoming accustomed to seeing blends that add more detail into scenes like this, even beyond the shadow detail you've already preserved, but this succeeds in my opinion.
