Antino,
I like your comp and the pose of the front tern with the food in the bill. For my tastes though the light looks harsh and I really would like to see some light in the eye of the primary bird. I know that can be hard to do with terns when they have that black cap.

Antino, I like the comp and the BG is really nice. I like the prey in the beak too. The light does look like it was pretty harsh. Some of the whites look very bright. The biggest nit for me is not being able to make out any of the eye on the main subject bird. That is really important in making a bird image work IMO.

Love the pose and prey of the front bird. Agree about the eye. Sharon

Very nice scene and you caught the moment right. If you can tone down some of the contrast, you can bring out more details and can also avoid harsh highlights.

A really neat shot Antino. Great action and nice job with the bright lighting. I agree it would be stronger with more light in the eye. One thing you could try is a selective levels adjustment in ps to only the eye. Zoom in tight in ps, use the lasso tool to select only the eye and then do a levels adjustment on it.

Antino, this is very well composed and the birds' colors against the muted bg work together. Lovely flight image, and the eye has been mentioned already.

Antino,
I agree with others on the harsh light and no catchlight in the eye. Very tough to get on most terns. The rest though is beautiful. I love the fish in the mouth, the chocolate background and the second tern.

I can't add much to what Mia and Nate have suggested. Lovely detail in the wings.

Beautiful capture. What is that dark area around the back of the wing and behind the head of the front tern? It might be just some kind of shadow but to me it looks a little bit like a black halo..
