Bleeding Hearts

by Doris Burdick

Gallery: FloraPosted April 18, 201179 views6 comments
Taken at Virginia State Arboretum near Winchester, VA on 16 April. With the wind I was lucky to get this image as sharp as I did. I believe these are bleeding hearts, please correct me if wrong.

Taken with a 100mm macro lens on Canon 50D in natural light using a tripod.

Exposure, clarity, vibrance adjusted in Lightroom.

Love the colors and those tiny drops of dew....the one at the right extreme is my heart ...a tad bit space on the right ..?
Well done

Beautiful color palette Doris. Great supporting bg. I might like just a touch more dof and a little room on the right but both are very minor nits. Outstanding image.

Yes, bleeding hearts - and lovely ones. Like the comp , colors, and BG a lot, and the vertical branch. Perhaps justr a bit more room on both sides, and a little more sharpoening?
Beautiful -

Beautiful Doris. A very pleasing bg to set off all the blooms. It would be easy to add a bit of canvas to the right and alleviate the tightness others have mentioned.
