Paperbark Spirit

I went out on Good Friday with intention of photographing Granite Bay in Noosa Heads NP, the predicted storm clouds never materialised so I had to work with a clear sky. I couldn't create anything I was happy with so I diverted my attention elsewhere and eliminated the sky completely. More info on my latest blog post.

Beautiful subject to work with Neil, wide upward looking, a crop of the tree trunk, and a very good subject for BW ...nice fine ..well done..

Neil this is a strong composition, I can experience the roots anchoring this tree. The kind of chaos in the background helps focussing on these mighty branches and interesting textures of the bark. An appealing shot that keeps my attention!

I like the way the light and your comp has me drawn right in to this amazing tree. The green bg helps seperate it out. Nice shot, Neil.

This is nice. The light on the subject tree keeps it warm and inviting while the cooler foliage helps the bg recede. Strong textual interest, also.

Interesting tree along with a very busy scene. It does achieve a degree of separation which helps it to be a nice focal point when viewing.
