Barred Owl chick....finally I get a peek of one of two chicks. Spotted this guy at 10:45 in the morning driving to a meeting, sun was in front of me so i tried to use the tree to block the direct light. Will need to go back tomorrow evening!

Eric, you did a nice job working with the conditions and using the nice shade to block the bright light. I love the pose, comp and setting, and especially the great light in the eyes. details are excellent. really a good looking shot. :toast:

I'll second Brian's comments. This looks very nice given the conditions and I'd be happy to have taken this.

Great subject, in the open with excellent detail. I like the natural colors and the demonstration of camouflage, yet the chick stands out nicely.

I agree with all the other comments and add that it is worth opening the larger photo. The detail is terrific!

This Owl chick has the most piercing stare. Soooo cute! Excellent image in every way, and I would be very proud to have this image in my portfolio.

Love this fuzzy little feather ball, very cute.
Great details, exposure, comp, and natural color.
Good job on the patch work bottom RT, not readily apparent to the untrained eye.
Have a nice weekend :toast:
