Oooh--this is just beautiful Charlie--really captures the mood perfectly, and these are special conditions. My only suggestion is maybe crop some of the top for more of a wide pano format--that would give more emphasis to the more interesting sunrise portion. :wavey:

Lots of potential here. Trees feel a bit dark.

Nice mood you've captured. I think the repost is definitely and improvement. :toast:

A great capture of the moment, Charlie, the repost works even better for me. It is a pleasure to explore all the beautiful details in the larger version!

Beautiful shot, Charlie. I like the contrast of the warm light on an otherwise cold scene. The whispy clouds below the peak add a lot of interest to the scene and the overall darkness in the foreground seems to emphasize the coldness of the landscape despite the glimmer of warm light in the sunset sky. Very moody and beautiful shot here!!

EDIT: I just saw the repost. It may just be because my monitor tends to be bright but I prefer the original post. In the larger post I see plenty of detail in the shadow areas and the dark foreground seems to convey a moodier feel. Either way, both are beautiful shots--it depends on what mood you want to convey. :toast:

Charlie,

This is gorgeous! You have beautifully captured the delicate textures in the trees, mountains, and clouds. Well Done!

I like the pano crop, but i still like the fg dark as in the original--it looks natural and the bright/dark contrast works better for me. TK was probably wearing his sunglasses...

Me too Stan. The original looks like the original scene. This was morning sunrise rather than sunset. This is looking southeast.

Were you out hunting during these recent flurry of storms? Get close to any?
