Following on from Rene's great Pine Marten portrait from Yellowstone, I thought I'd get one of mine up. With quite a few images to choose from I wasn't sure which one to share here but I thought whatever one I used, I'd opt for one with a slightly different approach to Rene's shot so as not to cover the same ground, so to speak. One things for sure, having the chance to photograph these wonderful animals was an incredible experience and one that I'll not soon forget.

D7000, 70-200 + 1.4x TC. ISO 1600

Fantastic shot of the pine marten. Really like the snow encrusted on the nose!

I can imagine you wnat forget this. If it happens to me I would not also.
Razor sharp and the snow gives the picure something extra.
