The Ghostly peaks are quite nice. I'd like to see a bit more of the lower if I were to be super critical.

Very nice, and the mood of the picture is great!
I only feel that the lower part is missing. I think It will be more powerful to include more of the foregound.

Me too, I would like to see a bit more foreground. Nice clouds/fog......I love the mood in this one.

I really like the way the towering peaks on the right side don't stand out in the initial digestion of the scene because of their cloud veil, but then their presence is even more imposing as they materialize. There's a lot going on in the right side of the photo, which does make the image feel slightly unbalanced to me. I would have to feel pretty picky to think I ultimately care about that though.

Look at that contrast between the blue skies, sunlit trees and the grey snow dusted mountains. I wish i could see a little more at the bottom, bottom/right but i am sure you had good reason for leaving it out.

Ian, this indeed must have been great options for taking photographs. I like the photo a lot as it is. I was wondering how it would look without the dark blue sky and more room at the bottom.

The splash of snow on the tree is so so so unique it makes this photo a true jewel.
Uber-Terrific.

Ian:
Love the mist & light behind the tree, the mid mountains, and finding Fitz Roy hiding in the clouds. My only nit is that I physically dive so quick and deep into the Right side of the frame, the clouds don't really bring me over to the left side very well, as they draw back to the right as well, therefore I have to 'force' my eye to look at the left side. (File under: I probably don't know what I'm talking about - unless you happen to agree. )

The depth in this image is terrific. I like the way you've used every bit of dynamic range available and spread that over multiple colors.

Ian, nice job! Excellent shot and feel to this image.
I too think it feels a little cut off on the bottom and would mellow the blue on the upper left hand corner just a tad (lighter and less saturation).

There's flash in the pan and then there are images like this. Your attention is drawn to the light and revealed peaks on the left, but as you study the image as I am sure you saw as you prepared to release the shutter the major peaks mysteriously appear from the backlight vapours. So if that is how you visualized this magnificent. If it is a fortuitous accident don't admit it.
