Ernie, I really like your composition here, the dark background which nicely shows off the white fur of the goats, and the color in the rock on the left that matches the color in the mother's fur. Very nice mother's day photo.

Very touching and VERY nice light here (and nice control of the exposure and/or post-processing). To me the image seems tight on top with the kid's head almost touching the top of the frame. I think the image might be stronger if some of the rocks (and more of mom's legs) were lost and a little more space added above, assuming you have room to work with in the original shot. Adding slightly more space on the left side of the frame (again assuming you have it) might also be worth experimenting with...

Thanks for the suggestions regarding the composition. Unfortunately, this is full frame so I can't get any space back. I'll need to pay more careful attention next time.
