Ladder of Light

The pattern of the fern frond is what caught my attention. The light was a little harsh but took the photo anyway. In processing the shine on the fern took much away from the rich green color so I looked at in a B&W sense.

Your thoughts much appreciated.

Definitely interesting, Youssef. Looks like the left side is a bit OOF which I'm not sure works well, but the metallic look is great.

Looks good. The OOF on the left is noticeable but I don't think it's a huge thing. I like this comp. It makes me want to try something like this. Thanks for sharing.

I like the graphical nature of this very much Youssef. I also like the silvery tones.

I love the silvery tone here also, and the contrast is excellent. I am bothered by the oof left side, though

Beautiful textures. I love the metallic contrasts. I also wish for a little more focus though. The watermark is a big distraction for me.

Thanks for the feedback. This was more of a proof of concept image for me. I was not paying attention to what I was really doing.

Very cool presentation! I honestly didn't think this was a real fern frond. The silvery patina is great!

I am planning on repeating this type of image with the 4x5 and process it the same way. So sorry for the OOF area.

That's gorgeous, Youssef. The silveriness of the fronds make it looks total metallic, and the negative space is sort of it's own pattern. Left side seems a bit oof.

lovely metallic tones here - well done. the OOF area and the 'signature' (which might be hiding the OOF area!!) is a little distracting ....

With the exception of the already mentioned OOF areas, this is gorgeous. The silvery sheen is just so appealing.
