going for the kill

Such pretty birds and very acrobatic and fast. Not easy to predict their behaviour and this shot is one out of more then 500 $@#$ups. The are catching insects for their young and this male has caught a cranefly. Just to make this clear....a natural catch and not been fed by me.

iso 400 1/1600 sec. f/5.6 full frame

Thanks for looking.

Edwin

Thank you so much guys :wavey:

@Fabio..I understand your curiosity but these are hard times to come up with something original. Pictures which people work on for weeks, even months are being copied before you can say "Hey, that was my idea" I've learned that the hard way myself. So, forgive me not telling you all the details. I can ensure you though, these birds do this by their free will and it takes lots and lots of time to succeed.

Again, thanks for your kind comments. Very much appreciated.

I know it's all been said before edwin, but this is superb. you must have the best portfolio of beardie images in the world by now. I still remember some of your images of them in the snow from a year or two back that I rated as the best I had ever seen at the time; these really are something to aspire to. Hat's off to you.
