This was shot in Zion National Park. It would land on a branch about 3 feet above our tent and wake us up. All comments are welcome and appreciated.

Richard, I'd love to have a visitor like this when I'm camping, even if it did wake me up early. What a brilliant bird. The head turn is a bit unusual but it works fine for me. F/13 worked well to get the tree trunk pretty sharp and the sharpness on the bird looks good. Nice natural setting There seems to be a bit of a halo around the lower perch that catches my eye but I don't see one anywhere else in the image.

A fine looking bird for an alarm clock. Lots of detail, which brings out those remarkable color. Nice work, Richard.

Richard,
Very nice colors and depth of field in this image. I sure wish I had an alarm clock that was as enticing as this Richard.
