Lake In The Sky

A long exposure well past sunset along Lake Tahoe's eastern shore. Not much of a sky, but a little twilight color to go along. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Large version included.

A very beautiful scene, Chris. I am drawn to the glow in the sky and the placement of the rocks within the frame.

The soft glow of light along with the long SS has created a serene image, Chris. I like what you have done here.

I really like the composition, and the light is lovely. The two things that really catch my eye is the pastels along the horizon and the light on the left FG rock. The shutter speed is nice, but I might have preferred a faster speed here.

Beautiful scene Chris. Nice work with the comp and I just enjoy the overall feel of this. The shutter speed works well for me with this shot. Very nice color and light. The large version is really worth the click, it looks great!

Beautiful patterns and I love the subtle palette. In many ways I have an easier time relating to the feeling of such moments than I do to the ones featuring blazing red skies.

Nice comp given the sky you had to work with. I would have gone with reduced sky as well and that helps this image work for me. I like the nice soft light on the rocks along with the longer exposure. Good choices.

Excellent mood piece. The slight mist on the lake pulls me right into the image

Chris,

Great depth, great colors throughout. You seem to have a way with there submerging rocks.

A beautiful shot, Chris. A wonderful quality of light and color. I like the sky the way it is with it's soft pinks reflecting onto the rocks.

Chris, Very pleasing composition and light. A few clouds would have been nice, but this image projects a great feel for the east shore of Tahoe. Well Done. Best Regards.
