Common flower really but still typical of this country I feel.
I tried to find a spot with a dark backdrop to give the feeling of spotlight.
Three stacked images ( Wouldn't the world be good with no wind !!
D200
Sigma 150 mm
200 ISO 125th @5.6
Three images - stacked czm
Levels. Contrast down 1 in camera. About 89% crop

John, I like the comp and your choice of setting against the darker BG is perfect. The BG does add to the sense of being in the spot light with the natural lighting. I also like the variety of greens in the image. Very nicely seen and processed.

I particularly like the composition and the subject separation. I think it's the mood of this that appeals to me most though. The yellows against that dark bg - suggest sunshine and vibrant life to me. Beautiful image for my tastes.

John:
This is good. Like how this bunch stands out from the bg. The stack gives depth to the flowers. Well done.

I really like your choice of using some shadowed BG to make these pop off the frame. Lovely image, and great stack!
