Beautiful Spring woodland flower. The leaves are great in salad, and are supposed to be good for the kidneys I think  :frown:

D200 Sigma 50 mm macro
100 ISO 50th @5.6
4 stacked images in CZM
Levels
705 of frame.
Paint Shop Pro.
Had problems with wind but you can sometimes get away with it by scrapping one layer if it has movement on it. Easy enough in controlled conditions but not in the wild.Lot of wasted tries sometimes though

Great mood to this one John. Good subject separation and a strong composition as well. I like it as posted but a 5:4 crop to the flowers would also be good looking I think. Good looking image.

John:
Nice clumps of small white flowers. Well done for getting enough images for stacking in the wild.

Very nice! Love the soft light. Esp as it touches the greenery on right side. Great placement of blooms!

Most beautiful, John ! The flowers are superbly rendered ( wouldn't have guessed you had wind problems ! ) and the composition works extremely well for me, with just the right dof.

Thanks all for your interest.Really is appreciated.
It has restored my faith in basic nature photography of simple every day subjects with relatively basic gear. One day you will all get to the stage that when you have done a shot like this, at my age ,it takes half an houtr to get up !
And a day to get over it
Cheers
