Midnight Trillium

The trillium were peaking in the foothills of Mt Rainier a couple weekends ago. Of the many shots taken this one, a crop of a wider frame may be my favorite.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Bruce, very nice glow and blur which adds to the ethereal mood. I like the stong veins showing in the top two petals. Ken S

Nice capture of the light on this trillium. It stands out well from the BG. I like that the image shows some of the environment without distracting from the subject. Well done.

Nice trillium Bruce! I like how the light makes the bloom glow while everything else is dark. Even with light right on the white bloom, you've handled the white very well. Good detail in the petals and stamen. Nice job!

Well, I can certainly see why Bruce. I love the light and the mood the shadows create. Dof and bg is perfect as well. One of my favorites in your portfolio. Superb...

Bruce: This is an "Ivory" for me; 99.44% wonderful. Terrific lighting especially. The only imperfect .56% is the light elements just above the tip of the upper right petal. I'm not sure I would make them go away completely but I would darken them considerably at the very least. Then I would print it large and hang it on the most prominent wall I could find. >=))>

I like that it appears in a natural setting, and a nice comp. The title and the mood are in sync. If it were mine I might knock down the brighter areas in the BG just a tad.
