appalachian stormlight
by Robert Stough
This comes from North Fork mountain in the West Virginia highlands, and was taken not long after an early spring thunderstorm had roared through with wild winds and heavy rain. Spring came late to the appalachians this year and so here in mid-april the mountain crest was still dressed in it's winter browns but the sunrays at least brought a nice glow to the new grass in the high meadows.

What a magnificent view and event to witness. One could even say, Glorious. The only thing I can suggest is to address the blown out clouds and overall brightness there, as others have mentioned. Of course it is the sun, so I understand not much you can do. If not familiar with Tony Kuyper's tutorials, masks and actions, this one is a perfect candidate for his new Triple Play. It should work nicely on those blown highlights. Even still, considering it's the sun, the highlights are kind of expected anyway.
The large view is great.
