A gorgeous and tranquil scene Sandy. Wonderful atmosphere with the mist rising from the water and the rippled reflection.

Very serene, I can almost hear and feel the peacefulness. I might be tempted to boost contrast just a bit.

I have no criticism of this whatsoever. The composition, the layers of water/fog/trees/sky are just right. The silhouette and reflection of the loon is a nice, even necessary fillip. I am so glad you resisted the temptation to jack up the color of what is a quiet, serene and reverential scene.

Tranquility! I can really feel this. I just need to put on a loon call dvd. Very nice, Sandy. :toast:

Love the mood to this Sandy. Another option may be to crop and make this a pano format removing the sky reflection, but this works very well as presented.

Fantastic scene, Sandy. The light on the mist is just wonderful, and the bird adds so much.

This is excellent Sandy. I really like the mist and the gold tones. The bird adds a nice point of interest to the foreground.

I like the pano version, maybe with a little more of the blue tones in the reflection - not as tight a crop I guess. Your timing with the lighting looks perfect.

I do like the pano, but agree that I would like to see maybe just a little more on the bottom to give the loon a bit more breathing room. Either way you go this is great Sandy!

Sandy,

A beautiful moment you've captured. "On Golden Pond" is perfect. Not much to critique here, but I will comment that I think you went just a tad too much on the crop. I haven't read all the comments and I was thinking a little crop as well, but I think leaving a little more color with the blue/gray adds to the image. The original works quite well for me and still captures a wonderful, quiet and echoing kind of moment.
