This is what happens when a Blue Jay comes too close to the nest of an American Robin...

Terry, Nice capture of a very defensive pose.
The bird is sharp and in a great pose. I'd personally clone out all the OOF stuff in the BG.

Quite a plucky little bird, Terry. This capture very nicely shows the bird doing everything that it can do in the face of a threat. I'm fine with it as posted. Fine detail, color and an interesting perch.

A busy image but very natural, the bird is nicely framed within the branches. I like the startled look with the fluffed up feathers. Feather detail is excellent especially appreciated in the larger version. Graham

Really enjoy the behavior here Terry - that posture says a lot about what's going on. I'm fine with the setting as is and I think you've framed this just right.

A fine action shot. I don't mind most of the BG -its just the big diagonal that grabs my eye a little. Still a fine shot though.

Terry fantastic action and it does look angry.
I agree on cloning that Top R branch it being in focus as well and having absolutely nothing to do with anything
its very distracting :wavey:

This bird has been in the mix for sure. I love the missing feathers on the back of his head and the tatered tail feathers. This bird is working hard to make a living. Well shot.
