Hey all,

Had a chance to go to Hocking Hill State Park in southern Ohio while on assignment and fell in love with this place! It is very beautiful and the landscape is incredible. I'll post more soon. Here's one of my favorites. Let me know what you think.

EOS 5DMK2 w/ TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II (rise only)

BTW, I did upload the larger version to show the detail of this image. This style of photo really brings out the sharpness of the new TS-E 24mm.

Jerry, it is also beautiful in the Fall which is when I was there last. The detail is extremely good. I suspect the compression made you cringe!

An impressive lens at a "Nikon" cost!

I grew up in southern Ohio and went to Hocking Hills often - for Ohio "wilderness", Hocking Hills is about as good as it gets. Knowing the geography of the area I can see that piece of the cliffs lurking in the far background. I know that It's not that green often or for long so this is very well captured. Very nice image.

Amazing amount of green! The larger version is tack sharp.
Me thinks it might be a stronger comp with a bit (15%) of the right side cropped off.
I bet this place is a mosquito hot spot come July!
Nice work Jerry.

Killer shot, bro! I love the lushness, and the way the leaves/branches seem to be reaching out to the viewer.

Jerry,

Chalk full of greens here - and beautifully processed and presented greens too; color and sat are just right in my view. The trunk anchors the scene nicely and I like that there is enough separation between trees, leaves and ground cover to make this a very pleasing comp. Nice work.

I still hate you for showing me the sharpness of that lens. Looks good to me, I might just take out some of the green cast from the trunk.

You certainly captured the lush green colors, Jerry! Well composed with large
tree trunk off center.

Nice to see you posting again Jerry. I like your choice of comp a lot here, it's almost like the branches are bowing down to the great tree. :wavey:

Wow, amazing! You almost can't see that large rock wall in the background. Incredible greens here!
