I've been to this spot a few times in the past but, surprisingly, I never found this part of the location. It's a large area of tufa cascades in the French Jura...

Julian - I might suggest cropping a little off the top and bottom. The bright spot at the top pulls me up there too much. Looks like a beautiful cascade.

That does look like a beautiful spot, and great composition. Wish there was some more water flowing, and probably agree with Harry on the crop suggestion.

This could be really special with some more processing. It's almost eden like...so if you could lighten it up...then do a little orton effect on this...it could really sing, IMHO
And maybe crop the bottom mud off?

Looks like a wonderful location. I like the composition and perspective that you chose. Did you take any more intimate shots of the falls? Would be curious to see as there appear a lot of other possibilties here. The bright area at the top of the frame is slightly distracting but not a big deal to me.

Julian,

What a lovely little mountain oasis. This is quite nice. I too am thinking along Rick's comments. Perhaps just a simple boost in saturation or a very soft touch of Orton (one that you wouldn't know was Orton unless you said so...) I might consider an equal crop of right and bottom to reduce the dark areas that aren't really adding much value to the scene; but I would only crop enough and leave the bottom level and all the base of the tuft of grass. Even without a crop, I still find this to be a beautiful little setting and nicely photographed.

I could do without the muddy bit at the bottom of the frame and would crop to just below that tuft on the right. Otherwise this looks to be a lovely location photographed in a very natural way, letting its beauty speak for itself.
