This is a wider view taken the same time as my last post
Glacier Detail of Mendenhall Glacier near Juneau Alaska in 1983. However, this image was taken with my Mamiya 645, 80mm lens, and Ektachrome 100 film.
I really want to get back to this place. On my last post of a close up view of Mendenhall, Kent M mentioned that the ice has receded quite a bit compared to my view in 1983. That seems to be consistent with my old (1982) and new (2008) visits to Mt. Rainier as well. When we visited the Columbia Ice Fields, Jasper NP Canada 2009. The story told by our guide was the same.
I hope I am not boring everyone with my old film images but thanks for looking. I know this may be nothing more than documentary photography to some, but it means something to me..... especially how much our world has changed in a little bit less than 30 years.

You're certainly not boring me with these "old" film images. This one in particular scanned up beautifully. The detail and clarity you've managed through to processing and presenting is excellent; good color and saturation. This is an excellent landscape and capture of the glacier and it's surrounds. Can't think of anything I would change or to suggest.
