Framing the house

I've seen these weaver birds on nature programs and was always amazed at their skill. Nature sure has some surprising adaptations. There was a tree outside on of the lodges in Tanzania that was full of these nests in all stages of build. I especially liked the framing of this little architect.

Cool framing, Margaret. You must've been close with that 200mm. Like the sharp eye peering out from the frame.

Cool image. Looks like he built a wreath for his head. Looks pretty sharp at this size.

Wonderful !
I think maybe a slightly tighter crop might emphasise the" head in the ring" so to speak. No big deal . Great shot anyway.

I used to keep these 50 years ago. They would build all day long.

Cheers

Thanks for all your feedback. The tree was not real tall, and it was filled with birds and nests. This is cropped in quite a bit, but the lighting was really good and was able to freeze any movement.

Neat to capture the bird in the process of building the nest at a stage where the bird is fully visible while inside. :toast:
