WC485, Saguaro Thumbs

As soon as I saw the Sore Thumb theme, I thought of my nighttime shot of a saguaro cactus (previously posted in the Flora Gallery in January).

To me, this saguaro certainly sticks out like a sore thumb, and then the many buds seem like little thumbs on the big thumb.

This is an improved version, with reduced saturation as suggested by earlier critiques. For tech details, just go to my personal gallery.

It not only looks like a big thumb with small thumbs attached, but if you tried to grab it you'd really have a sore thumb of your own! Nice choice for the challenge, David.

Very cool picture. The lighting works very well and as Gary points out it's a triple play on words, which I can't resist enjoying.
