A million excuses have kept me too busy to get out, until this morning I put it all behind me. I've missed almost all these blooms.

Beautiful flower nicely captured. The surrounding leaves provide a great BG. I would have maybe liked a little more DOF on the flower center, but this is certainly beautiful as is.

Elegantl magnolia bloom expertly presented. I wish we had this type of magnolia tree around here. They have so much more structure to their petals and I'm sure would last longer than the delicate ones in our area. No nits from me on this image.

I love magnolias Robert and for my tastes this is just superb. I can see why Scott might want the center sharpened but I also like it like this. Beautiful whites and the dof for the leaves couldn't be any better in my opinion. Just beautiful overall and wonderful light. The only thing you might consider doing, is cloning out the most obvious halos around a view of the white petals. They draw my eye a little.
This is one of my favorites of your images. Love the mood of it as well.

Beautiful shot and flower Bob. I wish I could see the larger size of the image. I think I know what Scott is talking about. I think the upper left corner of the image is more sharper than the center of the flower (almost the center of the image)!! Very good composition.

Interesting comp and nice capture. I'd also like to see it more crisp and those halos on the edges are a tiny bit distracting...but the lighting is good and you handled the whites well.

Bob: Magnolias take up a really tiny corner of my portfolio despite my liking the flowers and a bunch of them are native around here. This is an excellent capture. I especially like the supporting leaves and the peek into the center. Very well done.>=))>

Bob, If there is anything I can do to get you out and shoot, let me know . You should shoot more often. This is one lovely shot of the Magnolia Flower - perfect whites and especially the framing gets top marks. Those leaves are not quite easy to arrange for a proper framing.
Great Work

Beautiful, Bob ! The petals and leaves combine to make a dynamic pattern and a powerful composition. On the sharpness of the centre I agree with Pat that it is fine as is - the rhythms of the petal and leaf edges are what draw the eye.

Bob:
This is one of the finest Magnolia I have ever seen. The ones near us lasted about 1 weeks and the petals are easily tainted. Wonderful curves and shape. The halo is a little distraction - is this due to oversharpening? Notwithstanding, an outstanding image.

A beautiful photo of a beautiful specimen. It's difficult for me to say what I like more: everything I suppose; in the flower and the leaves.
Take care.
