Never mind the waterfalls, here's a tree!

It's a good-looking ash that I found in the Clos du Doubs area, right on the Franco-Swiss border.

That is a good looking Ash...
Personally I'd crop in tighter to those intriguing dark branches and contrasting leaves. A great play on shape and texture.

For me being a 4x5 beginner it's always a pleasure to look at your delicate shots with all the gorgeous colors and contrast. That's telling me I'm on the right way. Awesome shot, Julian.

Beautiful and delicate portrait of a tree Julian! It is a very "ordinary scene" but it works well for me.

This is very nice! Beautiful spring scene and you captured the feel to go with it. I could sure see spending a little time here just to enjoy this place. I really like this as you have it here.

Wonderful subject with some nice soft lighting to make it all come alive. The little yellow flowers are a good addition to the scene too.

Julian, your composition lets the tree enough space to breathe freely in my opinion. I appreciate the freshness of the green shades. The larger version furthermore shows me delightful details.

I have to say, this is the first tree image that has totally captivated me. You caught it at the perfect new leaf green and the darker conifers (?) make the perfect bg. I'd love to spend a whole day with a good book and my back against it's trunk. This is just beautiful.
