Great light Ken and striking color. Love the composition and the subject/ground separation couldn't be better. The detail isn't too shabby either. The thumbnail doesn't begin to do this justice. Very fine work.

Hi Krunal, I wish this was captured while traveling to India. Instead, it was shot at a local display garden near Seattle WA USA. There are a few of these specimens grown here successfully....but, not too many. Many try, few succeed. Ken S

Here is another angle, same flowers...close to 100% crop...I realized that I would not post this alone after just doing another version.

This is most interesting, Ken. I like it. Would suggest darkening the orange spot in the ULC.
And if you have a change I would like to see these poppies with all of the flower parts in sharp focus.
Well done.
Cheers,
Carol

Lovely, Ken. I think Himalayan Poppies grow in the US as well specially in Washington State-just a recall from what I read sometime back.
Class shots both - 2nd one specially for a very unconventional crop-composition

Beautiful image, Ken! What a lovely color these poppies have. I really like the second post a lot. I love the tight comp and the complementary colors are great.

Very impressed by the lighting in this, Ken - the petals really sing and the centres are beautifully clear. An excellent composition, too, with fine detail throughout the image.
