Also called Cranesbill. It rained ever so slightly on Saturday just depositing a few drops on the flowers instead of messing with them.

ND200, 200mm F/4 Micrnikkor, F/5.6, 1/80 Sec, ISO200 and Tripod.

Thanks a lot for your comments on Clematis and do let me know what you think of this one.

Great shot! The geranium seems to float on a sea of green...smart DOF. I like the straight look which supports the symmetry of this. Dark green b/g works well. Ken S

One of the most interesting and nicest shots of a wild geranium I've ever seen. The fine raindrops suit the size and delicacy of the flower. Well done! :toast:

Lovely, crisp rendering of the flower, Ram, and I like very much the triple plane effect with the buds in the mid-ground.

First class Ram. The POV is great and the lighting is perfect for this image. The DOF decision really separates the bloom from the BG. The rain drop pattern around the bloom is fantastic. No wind for sure to disturb them.

That flower really jumps out of the frame. The details are great and the raindrops just add to the interest. I'd be tempted to crop just a little from the right to improve the balance, but not so much as to cut into the oof leaves.

What a wonderful find for that perfect rain. The focus and the contrast between flower and background also give this a remarkable 3-D effect.
