Afternoon Light at the Ogle Place

The mid afternoon light shining through the trees made the carpet of fallen leaves around the Ogle Place glow and sparkle. The colors of the surrounding trees were breathtaking. Not a bad place for a cabin!!

There were lots of tourists here and I took several exposures as they moved through the scene so that I could piece together an image without people in it. Also, lots of leaves were falling and leaving red, orange, and yellow streaks across the frame. Luckily I took enough exposures to eliminate the streaks too.

Oh, this is a beauty Phillip. Looks just a tad oversaturated on my uncalibrated monitor. I could handle retirement at that cabin very nicely!

What a beautiful scene you've captured here Phillip! The colors are stupendous! I am wishing a little that the front porch to the cabin wasnt cut off by the little hill in the front by the lower angle you chose, BUT it certainly isn't a deal breaker for this image! :toast:

Great use of multiple exposures Phillip. I've been there many time and given up on getting a shot without the people. I'll have to give this a try sometime.

Beautiful scene. The glow in the leaves (both on the ground and in the trees) is great. I like the long lead in to the cabin and how the rocks in the llc balance the cabin.
