Hi you guys. This was shot with a Canon 5D II and a 300 mm Canon L f4, 1/320, ISO 160...yesterday off my back deck while the Canucks were losin' lol! Thanks for any comments. Its my busy season in the field right now and I havent been here much...I will have a ton of shots in the fall for y'all. Will also try to be a good citizen and post a few comments in others postings too. Best of the summer to you. Oh, not much post processing, just a crop and a bump of the contrast in Bridge. Those are hydo poles there.

Now this is a rainbow comp. I like how the long lens and your framing make the base of the rainbow such a large part of this artistic photo. Love the clean palette.

Waaaaahhhh! Why can't I get a rainbow like that?! It's one of the few things I haven't gotten, along with lightening, which I will never get because I won't risk my Toy's life! The second bright rainbow I missed nearly got me in a wreck since I had to crane my neck everywhere looking at while I drove in town, HA! I griped and raised cain with my self because I didn't have the Toy with me and missed the shot. Incidentally, Do the colors always have red at the top? I can't recall if I've ever seen a rainbow with the colors in reverse or not.
There's nothing to dislike about this shot as far as I'm concerned--except for the grim fact that I don't have one like it--ARRRGGHHH!

Awwwwe! Thanks RIchard and Shirley. TOO FUNNY, Shirley. Never mind Toy! How about YOU? I am terrified of lightning and never go out in it unless I abs have to. Ya know I dont know if the colors always appear as thus but I am sure they do. It was not massive like this, it is a crop, obvi. But a fun shot none the less. I used the 24-105 too but the 300 was better. Its funny,I had them on the bed and I kept running in to the bedroom, grabbing one baby off the bed and slapping it on, running out side on the deck, shooting, then running back in and firing the other baby on. Out again. A lot of fun and better than watching the Canucks lose. Thanks again for the kind comments.

What a dramatic rainbow! and centered on objects that make it perfect for Man and Nature.

That is a spectacularly bright rainbow! To Shirley, yes rainbows always have red at the top, due to the physics of the light scattering process that produces a rainbow.
