Great capture John! Love the eyes! I'm always scared to go as slow as 1/80 with a tele lens on a moving subject, but you seemed to do quite well with it!

What a great subject and you've captured him with fine detail. I particularly like how the dark bg sets him off and the bits of greenery which show up in it.

Excellent, John. Wonderful detail and I like the lighting. If the original was noisy, you did a good job of cleaning it up.

This looks great to me, John. Excellent details and I love the light effect. You must be able to see more noise than I can. That dark background has hidden it well. The legs look a little hot to me.

Great shot, John. He looks quite alert. The pose makes the shot. I also like how well the dark background makes this bird stand out.

Really nice detail and sharpness for 1/80s. Bird really looks good against that BG.

Thanks all.
Hi Cheryl
Little Owls spend a lot of time out in the daytime - like barn owls do sometimes also, so its no problem if you can find the right bird !

Good work getting nice detail in low light and slow shutter speed. The bird pops off the screen with the dark BG.
