Very pretty, Howard. I generally don't like straight on facial views but the colors here are wonderful.

I love the colors on his back and I like the rock perch. I think ideally there would be a little more light on his face but the sun was coming from the other direction, some fill flash might have helped with that. :toast:

Hi very nice but I think it needed a bit of fill flash.

Very nice light in this one, Howard. It's tough not to oversaturate these and you did a fine job on this one.

Beautiful image, Howard. I love seeing the red in both eye here. The light on the softer yellow back is just perfect.

What beautiful colours and great job on the exposure Howard, I really like the stone perch too :^)

I'd be tempted to brighten up the eyes - primarily the subject's left eye - but not sure if there's anything more you could bring out of it.

Nice Howard. The head on view of the head is different and there is enough eye for me. Very natural looking colors.

I like the light on this. Looks like this bird isn't quite in full adult plumage. Always nice to see the amazing mix of colors on this species.

Hey..yon painted bunting on the rock, I applaud this portrait! Subdued lighting really saturates the colors very nicely. Sharp crisp composition is to my liking. :toast:

Excellent shot Howard, I have never seen one of these, amazing colors with good detail on the larger version and the background really compliments the image, way to go.
