I love his expression! The OOF foreground and background give this image a cool whimsical quality which I think fits the fox nicely! :toast:

You nailed this one! Don't see how it could get much better. Only suggestion would be to crop off the clipped white flowers on the bottom left and that's getting really picky. :toast:

Beautiful image here John. Wonderful expression on his face. The flowers add a lot to the comp.

John: what a capture! Wow...you just nailed this one. I love the mood created by the quality of light and you've processed this beautifully I think. I can see the validity of the suggestion about the white flowers running off the image on the lower left, and wondered if the "white" fur on the front of his chest was just a TOUCH oversharpened (between his legs)?

The purple and yellow flowers in particular really contribute to this being a special image, but you sure caught a priceless expression.

I'm genuinely happy for you, but HIGHLY envious. :)

Cute shot! I love the colour that the flowers add, it looks very nice. I really like the pose he's giving you, and it's so nice to have that light in his eyes.

Hi John,

Very nice - that expression is priceless and the flowers add a very nice touch of colour to this image. While I think this image is VERY strong as posted, I wonder if a few very minor tweaks would improve it even more? I tend to agree with Patricia about the thought of perhaps cropping just a sliver off the bottom left. And, I wonder if a very minor tweak to the lighting might help - what I'm thinking about is perhaps a 1/3 to 1/2 stop increase in exposure to the fox (to make it pop ever-so-slighly more, and also to make the light region on the chest just a tad lighter) and, at the same time perhaps about a 1/2 stop decrease in exposure to the bright region in the upper left corner? But as i said, this is very strong as posted...

Cheers...

I like the exposure on the first image posted and I think you cropped a little too much from the bottom. All in all I prefer the first version.

Thanks Pat
I have to agree but I thought I would try the suggestions.
I liked the gentler feel to the first to be honest. Everyone has differing views and thats what makes it interesting.

There is something magical about this image. I can see cropping tiny bit from bottom, but that's almost like removing a grain of sand from a beautiful beach. I prefer the exposure in the original. :toast:

Great colors, DOF control, expression and overall capture. It looks like the fox is very interested in something in your yard. I agree with trying to crop some of the OOF flowers in the FG, at least the low ones to the lower left. :wavey:
