This is a full frame shot that I took and am trying to figure out how to position the duck to the best advantage. I think the water makes the shot, because the duck image is not 100% and somewhat OOF. I am okay leaving all the settings the way they are (unless you see something that I have not clued into yet) This is one image that I want to submit for a photo contest in Ontario - so far, it is the most popular amongst my friends. I appreciate everyone's input!!! Thanks,
Lindy

Lindy, this is a tough one. Optimally, the bird would have been placed more toward the lower RHC in this shot, leaving more room in the direction the bird is facing than behind it. Given the bird is in the upper LHC it would take a lot of crop to get a comp with more room in front than behind the bird. Doing this also would remove a lot of the water you like and enhance the OOFness of the bird. So, like I said, a tough call on the comp for this shot. You might just consider leaving it as is and trying to sharpen up the bird as best you can while still leaving a natural look to it. Sorry I could not be of more help.

Lindy, I like the water colors and the way they go with those in the duck. I do wish the bird were not swimming away from the viewer and I'm not sure about the comp for reasons mentioned by Ron B.

Hi LIndy
I agree with the comments of Ron and Ron.
The pattern of the water is quite catching. Compositionally, the duck would be better shifted slightly toward the LRC. It's a shame it's facing away from us.
