Lovely lines and detail, Dave. You're so fortunate to have flowers in the yard to use as subjects.
On this image, I might consider darkening the upper right so it doesn't distract from the main subject.
Cheers,
Carol

Love the detail, colour and POV of the top bloom. It's just wonderful. You nailed that one. Repost works as well. The secondary bloom behind the first I find is distracting for my tastes because it pulls my eye away from the featured bloom. Perhaps a little darkening and bluring of it would solve it.

Dave,
This is really striking as posted and I think the repost per Carol's suggestion is even stronger. The only additional thing I might consider is cloning out the grey stick/stem? to the viewer's right of the flower.

Dave, Cloning out that dark line might be one heck of a job - beyond me with my poor PS skills. Iris itself is photographed beautifully so that dark line is not so much of a bother for me. Its also a variety of Iris I personally like very much.

Dave: I'm coming to visit your front yard . My thoughts echo Pat's (been doing a lot of that tonight). I edited your title to reflect a repost. You can do that yourself in the future to give folks a heads up to revisit. >=))>
