This image just wasn't working for me applying my usual PP techniques so this is purely experimental. Does it work? All comments appreciated, pro and con.
Thanks for looking.

I love the concept, colours, perspective and vignette.
However, imo, it needs a sharper-focused area to stabilize the image. As is, nothing is in focus - or more in focus than other parts - so my eye is kind of wandering around looking to settle somewhere.
Great idea, though!

Bruce,
It does work for me. My eye comes to rest on the dark center even though it's not in sharp focus. The only thing I might consider is cloning out the short black ribs at 2:00 and 10:00 to make them grey like the others. Certainly no big deal though. I like the vignette and the radial symmetry. It's an interesting image and I find it very appealing.

Bruce,
At first I needed more focus, but I allowed myself more time and it worked. The petals drew me into the flower, however I agree with Pat those two areas are a bit distructing.

Bruce: Novel presentation and an effective one IMO. If your original was a lemon you've made some fine lemonade here. >=))>

Bruce, I agree with Pat on the two areas, but other than that I like this as posted. My first thought was that this felt grainy, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I think a subject that keeps one coming back to look at it has done its job well. Good work in my opinion.

Bruce, all the concentric lines of the stamens and the petals drag me to the bottom of the hole. I love this original photo, full of movement.
Take care.

I like this soft image but a bit sharper center area would be nice. Well done Bruce.
