Just like my mind in the summer heat, orderly disorder.

John,

Mesmerizing is a great theme that Eva mentions. Almost like some of those psychedelic, spinning things you used to see from the 60's... The larger view shows much better, but it's like I would almost like to see a more sparkling, metallic like finish, if that makes sense. The brighter center of the right pattern seems a little soft and I'm wishing it was clearer. But a minor point as I'm really enjoying the patterns and colors here. Good eye!

Thanks for your comments Eva, Guy, Manoj, Lon. Lon is right about softness. The patterns were shifting around rather quickly. I was hoping to increase shutter speed when I shot it. But it was fairly dark at bottom of the canyon. Sometimes life is a compromise.

Terrific abstract with those intense green swirls. The pattern is amazing. Great job of seeing. I do wish that the ULC weren't so dark.

That's neat, John. Must be a quick shutter speed to catch it like this. Sort of wish the ULC would be a little less dark.

Thanks, Nick, John, Nancy, Mark, Tony. ULC is under the shadow of a rock that I can't avoid. I'll see if I can brighten it up a little in ps. I was actually using close to 1 second shutter speed because it is really dark down there.

Holy monkeys that's cool. Would prefer it without the two brighter spots. My eye wants to live in the upper swirl section. Nice

Really neat abstract John. I don't really mind the soft parts of this, but am a bit bothered by the dark ULC. Great job seeing this opportunity.

I love the greens in this abstract John and the white spots in the FG add some nice tension to the image for me. Very cool indeed! :toast:

The ripples are incredible - nature warps far better than post processing. I'm not sure whether I find the dark left side distracting or mysterious. The whole image works so well.
