Morning Rose (Repost)

This is another shot from the Rose series I've been working on. The early morning light was just right that it gave the background a soft, textured look. I've cloned out some small petals near the bottom as well.

Gorgeous light and for my tastes the dof decision was perfect. I particularly like the fine detail on the front petal juxtaposed against the softer bg elements. My only reservation with the image is the dark area and I'm not sure I have a problem with it. I'm trying to imagine the dark area of the image with the lighter area above cloned in or the dark area just lightened some. Again, I don't know that it's a problem it just seems a little incongruous with the rest of the image. You might see if anyone else comments on it. Otherwise, no reservations at all - this is superb.

Just gorgeous. Like the softness in the back half of the rose and the bg. The darker area in the lower portion bothers me a little and I came to that conclusion without reading what Pat said; so I agree with his suggestions.
