Here is another image from Montana. This bird was flying in to relieve its mate that had been sitting on their nest. It was great to see their interaction as they switched out duties. The BG is water not sky. Please view the larger version for max details. Thanks for looking.

This one is a beauty Ron! I saw several of these when taking my Killdeer image, but wasn't too happy with the lack of light on them. I might still post a couple since the place I went to was the first place where I found American Avocets in Colorado.

An interesting looking curved beak and I like the color transition that goes through the wings from white to black tips and then white to light brown head. I have never seen one of these, wonderful flight shot Ron, way to go.

Excellent inflight capture and clarity Ron. Wish i could hand hold my 600 for images close to this quality. (the rotator cuff's don't cooperate for me.) Very nice!

Another first rate flight shot. You certainly know what you're doing to be able to produce so many excellent BIF i mages.

A lovely image of one of my favorite birds. That interesting upturned bill is so well demonstrated here with just the perfect head turn. Great detail and the whites are perfect.

This is top notch Ron. Sharpness, exposure and composition - all excellent. Love the blues of the legs with the background. I well remember this nest site and the light angle was very difficult from any vantage point available so I'm very impressed that you were able to get such great results (knowing the background was water likely puts the bird very close to the nest and that challenging light). Very well done.
