Sandy, unusual setting for the species and it works quite well for me. Really like the extended wings and the similar colors in bird and setting. I still don't have anything decent of a peregrine...

Sandy, I know these cliffs well as I would run along the beach below when I was stationed up the road in Oceanside. You did really well to place yourself in position for this shot given the nature of the terrain. Great habitat image- nice wing position, head turn and excellent detail. I'd love to have an image like this. :toast:

For a artistic rendering the BG was tough. For detail of the great bird you did so very well. Great work, again, Sandy. Large version absolutely required.

The setting makes the image for me. We normally don't see so much depth in shots of this species.

This is super cool Sandy  A great bird in a very pleasing habitat, your depth of field seems to be a perfect fit for this situation.

Sandy:
Neat capture! I love the pose with nice view of dorsal and ventral surfaces of the wings, especially with the head turn. I agree with earlier comments about DOF allowing an appreciation of the habitat.

Looks like a big crop but that's alright because it's an intriguing image. I like the plumage and awkward pose of this youngster

Nice job in getting this and not a background you usually see for a bird image, way to go.
