Taking a little break form the garden tour to wish the USA a happy 235th birthday. Just in case you were wondering, I left the pollen spots in to emphasize the explosiveness of the center. Plus I was too lazy to clean them up. For a cleaner look go here. Shot this indoors with some diffuse window light coming from the upper right, thus the long SS. All comments welcome.>=))>

Happy 4th to you too Bill. Strong composition, great colors and fine textures. I like the one with pollen best.

Like Pat, I like to see the pollen, Bill - I love anemones when they get a bit wild in the centre. Just right for your anniversary - all the best to you and yours from this side of the pond !!

Bill:
A nice tribute and happy 4th to all our USA members (which would probably be the majority). We had our holidays on Jul 1st to celebrate the return to the motherland.

Perfect colors Bill! I like the artistic rendering with the center. I can't recall seeing that color combination on a flower before. Well done.
